Three Things I'm Proud About

1- Yesterday when I was in line at the check out in Walmart, I resisted the temptation to grab a chocolate bar. It has long been my tradition to get one every time I'm there, even if it is one of those 100 cal bars. I almost did it, I had plenty of points so that wasn't the issue but I just made myself think about it and realized that it wouldn't even taste that good and I'd rather use my points on something else.

2- I rewarded myself last night. I had one of those WW Smart Ones fudge cake things in the freezer and decided to eat it. Then I realized that my dad had bought some chocolate ice cream. I looked up the points for a serving of that, realized that I was well within my points and added a serving on top of my cake. It was delicious! And no, it didn't leave me wanting more sweets. I ate it, I was satisfied (I even found it a little too rich!) and I was done.

3- I just walked T to preschool. It's a ten minute walk each way and I'm pushing K in the stroller. On the way home, it is up a steep hill. Today I realized that I was barely out of breath by the top of the hill. At the beginning of the school year, it would have me completely out of breath.

I also have to say that blogging and discovering the support available through the WW boards and from fellow bloggers is truly making the difference for me this time. I truly appreciate each and everyone one of you who read this and who leave a nice comment. It makes me more accountable and gives me something to look forward to!

So anyways, my question to all of you is: What 3 things are you proud of yourself for doing this week?

I love this post!

I am SO PROUD of myself this week!

1 - I got a job! It is an increase in pay, better hours, no crisis on-call duties...and I only have 3 weeks without an income!

2 - I bought a sweater yesterday that is a Large and I'm wearing it now!

3 - I have made a dent in stocking our freezer with homemade, frozen meals for my husband to eat while I am out of town for training. I love taking care of him!

I love this post! Great idea!

Hey Holly -

Good for you!! To get to the top of a steep hill and not be out of breath is a HUGE victory!! Yeah you!

I love the idea of posting three victories for myself. Let me give that some thought and put it on my blog for tomorrow. No worries: you get complete credit! :-) It's a great idea.

I am proud of myself this week for:

1. I have gotten in all of my water everyday this week (which is a big accomplishment)

2. I have taken the time to excercise twice this week so far, and I will get better at it :)

3. I have been getting all of my veggie and fruit servings in which is keeping me much more satisfied and I don't feel like I need to cheat :)

Great idea!!

Yea! About it all especially the chocolate bar. I know we can treat ourselves, but I understand how it's empowering to just say "no" sometimes.

Great job on not reaching out for the candy bar at the check-out line. Besides, I have noticed that I usually never actually taste the treat, because I'm shoving down my throat before I get home.

1. I didn't walk out of aerobics, though I wanted to.

2. I got up early this morning and had the house completely cleaned by 9:30 am.

3. I got almost 10 hours of sleep last night. (I have a bit of insomnia sometimes).
