Healthy You Challenge Update and NO CHEATING!

My schedule is a little bit wacky right now so I figured I'd do the update a little early. I also did my weigh in yesterday morning, instead of my usual Monday morning because I was away overnight and didn't get back until late this afternoon. Sooooo....

The Good News: I'm down 2.2 lbs! Honestly, I have no idea how I pulled that off but I'm thrilled none the less. That puts me down 17 lbs total and that makes me feel really good. I haven't been at the weight that I'm currently in well over a year. That means that the weight I put on in 2007 is gone!!

The Bad News: I've eaten like crap for the last two days. Yesterday was a potluck for lunch and then finger foods for dinner (consisting mainly of crackers and cream cheese). This morning was a buffet (I filled my plate with fruit and then had 1.5 pieces of french toast and one small serving of hashbrowns), lunch was chicken noodle soup and hot chocolate and dinner was pizza... with a bunch of sweet snacks in between. Not good. BUT, that's what happens when you're staying away from home and come home disorganized and not feeling like cooking... then having to run out to take your kid to the walk in clinic because she's fevered and crying in pain (she has a UTI). I found myself back into that awful mindset of "oh well, today's shot anyways, I'll eat like crap and start again tomorrow". However, I WILL be back OP tomorrow, that is a promise!

Actually, I'm inspired to throw out a challenge to all of you who have been having trouble staying on program or on track, especially on the weekends (like me!!).

I challenge you all to spend the next 7 days (Tuesday the 19th through Tuesday the 26th) completely ON PROGRAM.

If you are on Weight Watchers, this means not going over your points for the week. It also means counting points every day (I've been in the habit of slacking on this, especially on weekends). If you are following some other program, this means sticking to it - NO CHEATING! I know for me, I need some extra motivation and accountability so I will post every day and let you all know my point total for the day (or my menu).

Anyone care to join me?

Hi Holly! Congrats on your loss! Well done! Good luck with the challenge for the coming week. I'm in, but that doesn't mean much, since I can't cheat anyway!

Congratulations on your weight loss this week.

Hah!

I'd love to, but I don't know that I can this week. My husband and I are going out of town for our 10th wedding anniversary and staying at a bed and breakfast.

I'll try and write down everything I eat, but the points... well, that's gonna be tough. but I'll try.

Good luck to you!

Congrats on your loss! 2.2 lbs - wonderful!

I'm absolutely planning on staying OP. But it's a crazy week - I can't post every day. I'll check in next tuesday, though. I plan to look back on the week and say "I DID IT!"

Good for you for your can-do attitude, too!

2.2 lbs is a great victory. And don't worry about eating those yummy foods. I mean you're away from home, it's almost expected. (that's my philosophy anyway) But you'll be on track again and pick it back up.

I'm not on WW but I'll take that challenge. I actually do pretty good (so far anyway). I only cheated 1 day this month and that's because I was sick. And one other day was a half piece of cheesecase during my TOM. So I'm up to the challenge.

Good job on the loss!

I'm in for your challenge. Tonight we're eating at the neighbors so who knows what will be served, but I'll make the healthies of choices possible and balance it out with during the rest of the week.

Hello Holly!
I'll take you up on your challenge of sticking to my program. I'm not on WW but doing my own thing. I'm going to watch my portions this week. I've been doing good so far.
Congratulations on you 2.2 loss. This weight loss business isn't for wimps!

Congratulations on 2.2! I'm not a WW programmer, but I'm a BestLifer, and will commit to stay on program with you. It really is easier when you feel part of a group conscious effort. I'll be sending positive energy your way.

I'll join you. I've been bad about a written journal. Keep track in your mind is BAD! I'm starting today and have kept to everything that's in ink.

This is my first time at your blog--I like it! Check mine out for a WW success story. I've slipped a bit over the last year but am on board for fixing it up.

Good luck!

Hey Holly!
Great job on the loss! Kick up those heels for an hour if you can and relax.
THe Y challenge is going good... although I did technically miss a strength day last week, I did my yoga video at home, so I still got it in. we ran into circumstances taht prevented us from ettign th the gym when we wanted to, but we still went 4 times that week.. just three times was cardio... oh well!
How are things going for you? I'd love to do that challenge with you! This is my 'Reading Week' break, so I"m home alot, but hoping this'll keep me in the books and out of the fridge!!!I'll put a post on my blog about my day.

Thanks for posting; I like having someone to keep tabs with!
