Finally I have a few minutes to sit here and write! I appologize that I havent't been commenting as much as I would like on your blogs this week... This week has flew by and I can't honestly believe that it's already Friday. I had a had a work project that I had slacked off on a bit and I have been paying for it the last couple of days. The whole excitement of my little love interest (LOL) has had me rather distracted. So yah.. ummm, that's going well ;) It's been so long since I've been in this situation and I've pretty much had butterflies all week. However, that has been extremely helpful with the whole weight loss situation! I have barely had an appetite and I find myself feeling full about halfway through my meals. An early peek at the scales this week show that I am on my way to a very good loss this week.. I know it's not official because it's not Monday yet but we're looking at a number very close to 5 lbs already! Crazy but I'll take it.
In a way though, this leads me to another problem. Well, not really a problem but an issue nonetheless. The clothes that I bought just a few weeks ago are already getting baggy! I'm always glad to have this problem or issue or whatever but it could get rather pricey. I'm not all that concerned about my jeans yet, I just wash them after each wear to shrink them back but I don't know what to do about a spring coat. I have a nice sweater (zips up so like a coat) that was too snug to wear in the fall and it hangs off me now and looks awful. All my sweatshirts do that same thing. So, I need a spring coat. But really, it will likely only fit this spring so I don't want to spend a lot on it. I guess I'll go check out some consignment shops this weekend... any other suggestions? What do you do for your interim wardrobe?

Not such a bad problem, huh? I was thinking about the same thing..not that my clothes are really so loose ..but I am sick of the winter stuff and want some fresh spring stuff..but hopefully it will be too big soon..what to do?!? Can you borrow some clothes from someone? Maybe buy a few items and make the most of them..like a sweater/coat..etc. Any clothes that maybe didn't fit before and do now? It's a great problem to have. That is so nice that things are tooooo big on you!!!!ENjoy..and enjoy the butterflies and excitement!!!!!!! :)
We'll forgive you for neglecting us, provided you keep us up to date with the love story!
I can't wait to hear about this week's loss! Go for it, girl! You deserve it!
I wish I had that same problem! lol
If I were you, I would sell the big, baggy stuff on eBay ASAP and use the money to buy a few new things for spring. :)
I think a consignment shop is your best bet because you won't spend a lot.
I was lucky because when I lost the majority of my weight it was summer so because of my workplace being casual I could wear shorts and t-shirts. But, I remember getting ribbed by one of the guys who would laugh everytime he'd catch me lifting up my shorts! (I hate wearing belts--too much work).
Like CC said, it's a nice problem to have. Can't wait for Monday, wow, 5 pounds!
I don't yet have that problem, but man am I looking forward to it. I'm very stingy with buying myself clothes, though I have recently bought three pairs of work out pants (drawstrings) and some work out shirts. I still have some of my "skinnier" jeans and have given a few pairs to my mom previously that should soon be to big for her and just right for me.
I would recommend the good will or salvation army for "new to you" clothes.
I am fortunate only for the fact that I have lots of good/new clothes that I got too fat to wear, but should fit well soon! Probably consignment would be best for you for now. Good luck with the blooming romance. Keep us posted!
I agree, it does get rather pricey! people make comments about my clothes being big all the time, but its like, what do you want me to do about it..it costs money eveyr time I drop a size! I would see if you have a friend that you could borrow clothes for, otherwise look for some sales that are going on (And there are plenty of them right now). I got some cheap nice clothes at Kohls and Old Navy was having a 40% off sale and I got some cute things there too. Target is pretty great too for nice clothes at a reasonable price. I would focus on some pieces that you know you will wear a lot or that may fit for a little bit (depending on if you lose more weight on top or bottom), and spend more money on those types of trhings, and then maybe hit the discount shops for smaller more essential things.
I've gone the thrift store route a few times, and will probably try that again, assuming I lose another size.
Good luck with your weigh-in!
WALMART...
they have their spring coats for like $15 I think. IT's pretty cheap! I just go to bargin places like walmart or go to places like Penningtons (but a big one) and shop the sale sections. I know at work there are $5 tee shirts that are really great, and I love them. $5 pants too, actually! the bigger stores have those sales....
Consignment works too.
glad to hear about the 'love' interest!! OHHH!! so exciting. I miss that sometimes, the butterflies. How do you knwo him again?? You shoud do a mini post on him!
